Meet Our Team

Kayla Starzynski OTD, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

My journey toward becoming an occupational therapist was shaped by diverse experiences in schools, daycares, job coaching, and more—all of which opened my eyes to the incredible range and impact of the OT profession. What drew me in most was the ability to customize each session to meet individual needs. I’m passionate about OT’s hands-on, client-centered approach that allows for creativity, connection, and meaningful outcomes for both clients and clinicians.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation and Human Services from Penn State University, then went on to complete my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at the University of Minnesota. My background includes work as a paraprofessional, job coach, summer school teacher’s aide, and behavior therapist—experiences that have all contributed to my holistic and compassionate approach to care.

I’m excited to be part of your therapy journey and to support you in finding meaningful engagement in the activities that matter most to you.

Occupational Therapist

My love for working with children and my interest in how the mind and body work together led me to pursue a career in occupational therapy. I love that, as an OT, I get to focus on the whole child—considering their strengths, challenges, and everyday environments to support meaningful growth. What I love most about being an occupational therapist is celebrating progress, whether it’s a big milestone or a small win along the way. I strive to create a supportive, playful, and encouraging environment where children feel safe to try new things, build confidence, and discover what they’re capable of.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Health and Wellness Promotion from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities, and my Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy from St. Catherine University. I have experience working as an occupational therapist in pediatric outpatient and school-based settings, and I value collaborating closely with parents and caregivers to ensure therapy strategies carry over into daily routines at home and in the community.

I look forward to working with you and your child to support their growth, independence, and success in everyday life!
